While THC and CBD can only be effective, many patients benefit from finding the right balance for the two cannabinoids. Short-term effects on the cardiovascular system may include increased heart rate, widening of blood vessels and fluctuations in blood pressure. There have been medical reports of incidental heart attacks or myocardial infarction, stroke and other cardiovascular side effects. The cardiovascular effects of marijuana are not associated with serious health problems for most healthy young users. Several preclinical studies suggest that CBD may have beneficial effects against Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease and multiple sclerosis.
One of the hundreds of components in marijuana, CBD does not cause a “stop” in itself. According to a World Health Organization report, “CBD does not show any indicative effects of any potential for abuse or dependence in humans … To date, there is no evidence of public health problems related to the use of pure CBD. ” It is specifically CBD’s ability to target the serotonin 1A receptor that offers a wide variety of options. This ability can help CBD deal with conditions such as depression, neuropathic pain and anxiety disorders.
Cannabis is a plant in the Cannabaceae family and contains more than eighty biologically active chemical compounds. THC is the part that produces the “high” associated with the use of marijuana. Much interest has been seen in CBD and its potential in relation to health benefits. The word cannabinoid refers to any chemical, regardless of its structure or origin, that binds to cannabinoid receptors in the body and brain and has effects similar to those of the Cannabis Sativa factory.1 The three types of cannabinoids that humans use are recreational, medicinal and synthetic.
Cannabinoid receptor antagonists have previously been tested as an antidote to successful cannabis poisoning, reducing or eliminating the physiological and psychological effects of poisoning. Some of these products are currently under development as an antidote to cannabis. In 2018, researchers in a more localized treatment study administered a synthetic CBD gel at cbd roll on doses of 250 milligrams or 500 milligrams per day or a placebo to patients with knee pain from osteoarthritis. Patients also discontinued using other anti-inflammatory or analgesic medications, excluding paracetamol, before and during the study period. In another small study, 13 patients with type 2 diabetes who did not use insulin received CBD and a placebo .
Marijuana can cause acute psychotic episodes at high doses, and several studies have associated the use of marijuana with an increased risk of chronic psychosis in individuals with specific genetic risk factors. Research suggests that these effects are mediated by THC, and it has been suggested that CBD may mitigate these effects. Treatment with rimonabant has also been associated with beneficial effects on various metabolic parameters and cardiovascular risk factors related to obesity. 63.64 Rimonabant has been shown to be safe and effective in treating the combined cardiovascular risk factors of smoking and obesity.65 It also reduces insulin resistance and reduces the prevalence of metabolic syndrome. Many of the metabolic effects, including elevated adiponectin, go beyond weight loss, suggesting a direct peripheral effect of rimonabant.66 Rimonabant therapy is also associated with beneficial changes in serum lipids and an improvement in glycemic control in type 2.67 diabetes. Rimonabant activity in the treatment of obesity has been described in recent assessments.
In total, there are more than 500 cannabinoids, all of which can affect our body and brain. Perhaps most exciting about these myriad chemicals are the potential therapeutic effects they could have: if the research is maintained, cannabinoids can represent hundreds of new drugs for human benefit. Many people who use CBD to treat their conditions discover that CBD alone is enough to experience enlightenment. Commonly known as the “environmental effect”, the addition of various cannabinoids tends to enhance analgesic and palliative effects. CBD has also been reported to deny the overly intense psychoactive effects of high doses of THC.
